Former Samsung Lions foreign hitter Daniel Palka has signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets.

“The New York Mets have signed first baseman and corner outfielder Daniel Palka to a minor league contract,” American sports media outlet Major League Trade Rumors reported on May 29 (KST).

Palka played 109 games for the Mets’ Triple-A Syracuse Mets last year, hitting .395 with 104 doubles, 26 home runs, 79 RBIs and 68 runs scored in 395 at-bats. A free agent after the season, Falca was added to the spring training roster as a non-roster invitee with Boston.

In 79 Triple-A games this season, he batted .283 (66-for-283) with 12 homers, 48 RBIs and 44 runs scored. After being designated for assignment by Boston at the end of July, he was given another chance with the Mets and will look to make the jump to the big leagues.토토사이트
