I’ve been looking forward to July. He made it through his third rehab start unscathed. Ryu Hyun-jin (36, Toronto Blue Jays) is on the verge of a return.

Ryu made a start against the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens (affiliated with the Detroit Tigers) on June 16 at Salmon Field in Buffalo, N.Y. He pitched five innings of three-hit ball (one home run), striking out five and walking one. He threw 66 pitches (46 for strikes) and topped out at 144 mph on his fastball.

Gave up a solo home run to Justin Henry Malloy in the first inning. He settled down quickly. He retired the side in order in the second and third innings. In the fourth, he gave up back-to-back singles, but induced a flyout to put out the fire. He retired the side in order in the fifth.

Ryu felt something wrong with his arm after a game against the Chicago White Sox in the Major League Baseball (MLB) on June 2 last year. He underwent surgery to repair a ligament ligation in his left elbow and began rehabilitation. It was about a year before he started pitching in practice. On May 5, he made a start against the FCL Tigers (Detroit), allowing one run on three hits in four innings with five strikeouts. He threw 42 pitches, with his fastball topping out at 141.6 miles per hour.

After four days of rest, he made his second start in the last 10 days. He pitched four innings of one-hit ball against the Single-A Florida State League’s Tampa Tarpons (affiliated with the New York Yankees), striking out three and walking one. He threw 37 pitches and topped out at 142 mph. With this successful Triple-A outing, Ryu is expected to speed up his return to the big leagues.

Both Ryu and Toronto are hoping to revive the “Korean Monster. Ryu made his big league debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2013, but he left for Toronto in free agency ahead of the 2020 season. He signed a four-year, $80 million deal.

In his first year, he went 5-2 with a 2.69 ERA in 12 games and 67 innings during a shortened season of 60 games per team due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, he went 14-10 with a 4.37 ERA in 31 games and 169 innings. Last season, he was shut down after going 2-2 with a 5.67 ERA in six games and 27 innings. This year is the final year of his contract with Toronto. He’ll need to have a solid second half.

Toronto also needs help in the starting rotation. This season, they’ve gone with Kevin Gausman, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Yusei Kikuchi, and Alec Manoa. With a 7-5 record and a 3.03 ERA, the ace of the staff is now in jeopardy. Gaussman was scheduled to start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on April 16, but was scratched due to side soreness. Bassitt took his place and pitched six innings of two-run ball in a 5-2 win.

According to MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, Gaussman was examined and cleared of any further damage. The exact timetable for his return is undetermined. He will be monitored.카지노

Manoa is not a constant either. He has struggled with a 2-7 record and a 5.91 ERA. He was sent down to the minors last month to rebuild. He made his big league debut on Aug. 8 against Detroit. He pitched six innings of one-run ball, but it’s unclear if he’ll be able to maintain that consistency. Ryu will need to be healthy to help bolster the starting lineup.
