Gianluika Vialli passed away.
British public broadcaster ‘BBC’ said on the 6th (Korean time), “Vialli, who played as a striker for the Italian national team, Juventus and Chelsea during his active career, has died. Vialli was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2017 and was cured in April 2020. However, he relapsed in 2021 and ended his life after fighting the disease until recently.”토토
Italian Football Federation President Gabriele Gravina said: “Viali was a great person. Nothing can fill the place he left. Vialli’s dedication to Italian football will never be forgotten. He refrained from praying for the deceased’s rest.”
Juventus also made an official statement. Juventus said, “We supported and loved Vialli’s every move. I will not forget all the memories he showed at Juventus, including his smile, his play, and his leadership in the locker room.”
Chelsea said: “Viali was the best striker of his time. After his retirement, he won many championships as a Chelsea manager. Thank you and thank you. I will remember it for a long time,” he said in a statement.
Vialli played for Cremonese, Sampdoria and Juventus in Italy during his career, before spending his twilight years at Chelsea in England. For the Italian national team, he scored 16 goals in 59 A-match appearances. He played for Chelsea as a player and manager in the late 1990s. Afterwards, he joined as an Italian national team executive while coaching Watford.
