Portugal Sporting Lisbon’s right wingback Pedro Poro is likely to become Tottenham Hotspur’s second transfer window this winter.
Reporter Fabrizio Romano, who is well versed in the European football transfer market, reported on Tottenham’s POW recruitment through his SNS on the 26th (Korean time).
Romano explained, “Tottenham have concluded negotiations with Sporting and are about to sign a full prisoner. The conversation between the two teams has reached the end. The transfer fee is 45 million euros (approximately 60.4 billion won). The contract period is five years.”
Pedro Poro is from Spain and played for Girona in La Liga before moving to Manchester City in 2019. Poro, who did not get a chance at Man City, went through Sporting loan life and eventually transferred completely and moved his stage of activity to Portugal.
Poro, who is active as a main player for Sporting, caught the attention of coach Antonio Conte by playing against Tottenham twice in the UEFA Champions League group stage last year. At that time, POW was recognized for his defensive ability by blocking Son Heung-min without a goal. 먹튀검증
Poro was connected to Tottenham as soon as the winter transfer market opened, but the transfer fee negotiations were not done properly and there was no progress in recruitment.
Tottenham tried to lower the transfer fee for the prisoner, but Sporting insisted on a 45 million euro buyout. In the end, Tottenham seems to have decided to sign a prisoner by paying a buyout.
Romano said, “Poro has already reached a personal agreement with Tottenham and is waiting for a medical test. Poro will be Tottenham’s second signing in the winter transfer window following Arnaud Danzuma.” We hope that all negotiations will be completed within 48 hours. We are negotiating the last part regarding the amount,” he explained the current progress.
Tottenham announced the signing of Danzuma through the official website on the 25th, and succeeded in the first recruitment in the winter transfer market.
At first, it was possible to solve the problem of reinforcement of the attacking team, which was pointed out by hijacking Danjuma, who was likely to go to Everton.
Tottenham plans to complete the recruitment of No. 2 by recruiting a prisoner for the right wingback position, which manager Conte has consistently requested, following Danzuma.
Poro, who has the advantage of sharp crosses and quick attacks, is evaluated as a suitable player for the role of right wingback coach Conte wants. In particular, the existing Tottenham right wingbacks such as Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty are experiencing sluggishness, so they are expected to participate right away.
