The National Basketball Association (NBA) Eastern Conference Finals are in full swing.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 110-97 in Game 5 of the 2022-23 NBA Eastern Conference Finals (best-of-seven) at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, on Saturday (May 26). Boston, which finished second in the Eastern Conference, dropped Games 1 through 3 of the series to eighth-ranked Miami and was in danger of being swept. However, they bounced back to win Game 4 and then Game 5. Game 6 between the two teams will take place on April 28 at Miami’s home ice, the Casey Center.메이저놀이터
Boston dominated the game. After a 35-20 first quarter, the Heat finished the first half up 61-44. They trailed 28-29 in the third quarter, but maintained the lead throughout the fourth quarter and cruised to a 13-point victory. Four players scored 20 or more points, including Jaylen Brown (21), who had struggled early in the series, along with big men Jayson Tatum (21), Derrick White (24) and Marcus Smart (23). Center Al Horford helped out by grabbing 11 rebounds (five offensive). Miami was unable to overcome the first quarter deficit. Holding star Jimmy Butler to 14 points hurt, as did the team’s 16 turnovers (to Boston’s nine).

No team in NBA history has ever completed a “reverse sweep” in a best-of-seven series. After dropping Game 3 in a blowout, Boston was expected to be eliminated in four games, but the Celtics came alive in Game 4. “You see the true character of a person, a team, when things aren’t going your way,” said Tatum, who recorded his first double-digit assists (11) of the postseason. We have the ability to come together and solve problems when things aren’t going well.”
Miami is up two games to one, but not in the mood. “We’re always going to stay positive,” Butler said, “We’re going to win this series. We’re going to win this series, and we’re going to do it at home.”
