The Korean women’s soccer team was defeated by Italy at the Arnold Clark Cup, ending the tournament with regret after losing all three matches.

The women’s national team, led by coach Colin Bell토토사이트, lost to Italy 1-2 in the third leg of the 2023 Arnold Clark Cup held at Ashton Kate Stadium in Bristol, England on the 23rd (Korean time). He suffered 3 losses against European teams and realized the difference in power.

Previously, Korea was defeated by England (0-4) and Belgium (1-2), the champions of Euro 2022 (2022 European Championships). England won the championship with a 3-game win, Belgium (2-1) finished second, and Italy finished the tournament in 3rd place (1-2).

Korea participated in the Arnold Clark Cup, an international friendly tournament hosted by the England Football Association, in preparation for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, which will open on July 20. England (ranked 4th in the FIFA rankings) and Italy (ranked 17th) were advancing to the World Cup finals, so it was a good opportunity for the national team to check their strength.

However, Korea (15th) could not beat Belgium (20th), who did not qualify for the World Cup finals. I received a shabby report card after losing all 3 matches. After Bell took over as manager, Korea’s official A match record was 14 wins, 7 draws and 9 losses.

Korea dedicated a header goal to Italy’s Ariana Caruso in the 6th minute of the first half. However, Ji So-yeon (Suwon FC), who returned from injury, scored the equalizer in the 24th minute of the second half with a right-footed kick.

The game, which seemed to end in a draw, ended in Korea’s defeat with an unexpected goal just before the end. In the second half of added time, Italy’s Martina Rossuchi scored a goal, although both Rossuchi and teammate Cristina Girelli seemed to be in an offside position.
