The Yeoncheon Miracle, an independent baseball team, will hold its 2024 open tryouts at Seongok Baseball Park in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi-do, next month.
The Yancheon Miracle is the only independent baseball team in Korea to be sponsored by a local government (Yancheon County), with Bae Hyun-ho (KIA Tigers) making it to the KBO this year. The Yeoncheon Miracle is currently in first place in the 2023 Independent Baseball Team Gyeonggi League, and is going all out in its final schedule with the goal of winning the combined regular season and championship.토토사이트
Applicants who wish to participate in the tryout can apply on the Yeoncheon Miracle website until the 5th of next month, and the team plans to select players through practical skills tests and interviews for each position. The number of players to be selected is 20. Applicants can be (1) former professional players, (2) amateur players from domestic high schools and universities (including graduates and dropouts), (3) players from domestic and foreign independent leagues and overseas schools, and (4) members of the general public with excellent skills.
“With the abolition of the dues (room and board) system, we are looking forward to welcoming excellent players to join the team and challenge the pros with peace of mind in a stable environment,” said Yeoncheon Miracle. “In particular, for this tryout, we will give preference to applicants for the left-handed pitcher, catcher, and shortstop positions, the ‘2025 KBO Rookie Draft’ to be held in the second half of 2024, and young players born in 2004 or younger.”
Players selected through the tryouts will join the existing roster for final training. They will also be eligible to participate in the KBSA Division 1 League in the second half of the year.
